  • Fall Winter 2014 Part II: METAL GOLD COLLECTION

Published Sep 30 2014 in New Collections

    Metal Gold Collection

    Metallic layers of deep tones of gold adorn the Metal Gold Collection. Swarovski crystals in the form of avant-garde double spikes and embedded in a pave bead style offer a contemporary edge to this collection. These crystals are created by the French Haute Couture designer, Jean Paul Gaultier. The uniformity of these swarovski crystal shapes are accompanied with freeform fine silver nuggets and handmade bronze pendants. The perfect shape of these crystals are paired with the imperfect bronze shapes;
it is a harmony of form.

  • Fall Winter 2014 Part I: AZURE COLLECTION

In my AZURE Collection, the color blue means to me: freshness, clarity and regalness.

My druzy semi-precious stones are mineralized crystals embedded in the heart of stones and hand-dyed in rich shades of blue, green and purple.

This collection is speckled just enough with druzy stones to keep you wanting more.

I have used bronze as the metal of choice for this collection focusing on my entwined bronze links in multiples of three.

Each link is handmade and unique,
    it's a labour of love.

I have always been interested in the historical evolution of art and jewelry.  Blame it on my love of the theatre since I was in high school.  And thanks to my drama teacher Ken Agrell-Smith who always emphasized knowing the history of the work that you are creating whether it is a play or art.
Well, I am in love with the Baroque Era of the 1700s.
Welcome to my Baroque LUX Collection.

The Baroque era represented a time of a bold play of contrasting light and dark, color and irregular or imperfect shapes.  Thus the baroque pearl.  These images stirred in the observer an overt emotion or sensory appeal.  This was a departure from established rules and balanced porportions of the 1600s.  The jewelry collection is dynamic, emotional and evokes a sense of movement.  Imperfect fresh water pearls, shimmery antique silver leaves, baroque pearls, irregular medallions of fine silver and links are sprinkled in my Baroque LUX Collection.
It’s my interpretation of an era from long ago.

    Enjoy

  • Rose Velvet Collection: FW 2013

Published Aug 31 2013 in My Story, New Collections

I’m a romantic at heart.  My most romantic gift from my husband was a poem that he wrote while I was attending school out of the country.  He had to send down my winter boots and tucked away in the box was a little piece of paper with a, well, unforgettable poem written on it.  It read our lives at that time.  Quite a few years later I framed that poem and re-gifted it to my husband as a wedding anniversary gift.  He was...speechless.
The feeling I get from my rose bronze and rose gold swarovski crystal pieces is romance and tradition (just like that poem). I’ve taken my rose bronze and rose gold to another level...a level of casual modern with a hint of elegance. Subtle touches of rose gold are found in my Rose Velvet Collection just to show how special it is.  I’m letting the rose bronze and rose gold swarovski crystals speak for themselves, because it does it so well.
Nothing but the best for my rose hued pieces; nothing but the best for you.  I want to make you speechless.
    Enjoy

  • The Sweetness of Life: Safari Collection

Published Feb 13 2013 in My Story, New Collections

Two years ago I talked about my trip to Kailua, Hawaii.  I spoke of runs along the Hawaiian backdrop with my son and collecting shells with my daughter.

This year on our trip to Kailua I discovered little gems that would bring back memories of our time there. I found and coveted cone-shaped shells, rough cut quartz, beach glass, limestone and wood.  Just a handful of pieces; just enough to compliment my bronze links and brass chain.  These are components that have an earthy feel that remind me of sunshine, flip flops and sand between my toes.

    Momentos for my Safari Collection.

Which brings me back to those runs and collecting shells.  This year I ran BEHIND my kids.  We ate fish every day, whale watched in Kaneohe Bay and wore flip flops all day long.  I treasure those trips to Hawaii with my family.

It’s not going to last forever.  Although I wish it would.

This is the sweetness of life.
